Program team/Edit your event
This page describes how you can edit the event that has you as submitter (see Call for participation). If your submission has already ben accepted, please also note the Speakers notes.
The event has been stored on our Submission System named "Pentabarf". To change your event, please follow these steps:
- Go to our submission system Pentabarf.
- If this is the first time, or if you forgot your password, please click on "Forgot Password" to retrieve your password. Fill in your login name and email address. A new password will be sent to you.
- After retrieving your password by email, do not forget to reset your password later on!
- Click on "Log in" on the left side of the screen.
- Enter your login name and password. Beware, both password and login name are capital sensitive, also the first letter!
- After logging in, you will get the Wikimania Logo on the upper left corner.
- Click on the button "person" on the left side.
- A page will appear with several tabs. Please make sure the most important information is filled in:
- General tab: First name, Last name, Nickname, Public name, Title and Gender
- Contact: Your contact email address
- Description: At least a short (freely licensed!) abstract about you / your bio
- Account: Your password (if not reset yet)
- Click on the "save" button in the lower right corner every time you complete a tab.
- A page will appear with several tabs. Please make sure the most important information is filled in:
- Now please make sure all information about your event is complete. Click on "Events" on the left side.
- You will get an overview of all events with you as submitter. Please click on the title.
- You will go to a page with five tabs. Please make sure the most important information is filled in:
- General tab: Event title (if this is called "Placeholder", please replace this by your title), possibly subtitle, whether you will submit a paper or slides, language (generally English), track, event type
- Description: Abstract (50-100 words), Description (More detailed)
- Please don't forget to click on the "Save" button

FAQ
- Q: I cannot login anymore!
- A: Visit https://wikimedia.pentabarf.org/user/forgot_password, give login name and email address (if you don't know them you need to usk us by mail). You then get a mail saying "Dear XXX" where XXX is you login name and a link to give yourself a new passwort. Depening on your browser (and it's cache) you may need to force login via visiting https://XXX@wikimedia.pentabarf.org/ (with XXX your login name).
- Q How do I create a new account?
- A Go to Pentabarf and click on 'Create account'
